The South Strand Republican Club, formed in 1999 with a Charter Membership of 100 dedicated Republicans, serves the fastest-growing area of Horry County, South Carolina ... from the Myrtle Beach International Airport to the northeast to Murrells Inlet to the southwest end and bordered by the Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway.  Included are unincorporated areas of Horry County (in terms of land mass, the largest US County east of the Mississippi), Garden City, Socastee & Surfside Beach. The ByLaws of the South Strand Republican Club state our objectives as follows:

 

a) to promote an informed electorate through political education & activity;

b) to increase the effectiveness of citizens in the cause of good government through active political

    participation;

c) to facilitate co-operation among the various National, State & Local Republican organizations;

d) to foster loyalty to the Republican Party & promote it’s principles & ideals;

e) to support the objectives & policies of the Republican National Committee & to work for the election

    of Republican Party nominees.
